HALP! (with arts)
Alright, as an artist I feel that I need to improve. I've got most of the basics i think, i can even draw passable hands (sometimes). My question for those kind enough to help is regarding details. I browse through my fair share of FA art and have a number of people that i watch and i envy the amount of detail most artists can put in to their work.
It just seems like a single piece can have so much more detail in it than i can manage. It seems impossible to me how to put that much detail into so small an image unless you've got a magnifying glass and a .01 mm pencil. If anyone has tips on how to put more detail into sketches without blurring it horribly please let me know.
And maybe i just need to buy a bigger sketchpad (mine is 9"x12"). Or use up a whole page with a sketch so its bigger. i don't know.
Please give me any suggestions you can!

Photoshop? I fiddled with it a bit when I was still a youngin' in high school. It's the -best-! And, yeah, giving yourself more room to work with couldn't hurt either. Lastly, consider your medium. There's only so much you can do with, say, pen and paper or just tablet. Consider combining styles?

maybe if you take requests you'll get new ideas and expand

as far as i'm aware, my profile has stated for a long while that i'm open for requests. Other than plugging it weekly which is tedious and would probably get a ridiculous number of requests that i could never complete along with people complaining about "why didn't you do this one?" i'm not sure exactly what to do to subtly encourage the inflow of requests.
