Depends on the computer program and if your looking for a desktop or a laptop really. On the case of thoes although Id shop around and more look twoards computer specifications and reliability reviews. Course if its a desktop to me if you can find someone who will for a good price, Id just get a custom build made for ya.

I'm looking for a laptop.

Programs like Photoshop, animation programs, and something that allows me to edit scenes for videos.
I know some things aren't compatible with both Mac and PC so which do you think is best?

Thats desktops really, to which stuff is easy to build. Laptops aren't as easy....and I don't know if its viable. If the focus program for you is either Photoshop or Illustrator, your probably looking at a Mac, which can be rather expensive(although there are used ones on the EBay market).

Really for an artist(especially for video), your probably looking for 3 major things:

Memory
Processor
Screen Size

The first two being how fast your computer can process your actions, the third being a basis of how much work space you will have on your screen.

Unforunently not being an artist myself, I couldn't really give ya heads on tails on whats good, outside of if you get a Windows System, your gonna need 1 GB Ram for a Win XP to run easily and 2 GB RAM for a Win 7.

A couple other big areas to think on are Battery Life, Reliability(and as a shoot of that, crash resistance), and upgradability. Cylnx layed out some good brands, and I would add Lenovo. In the end although I would check a couple consumer websites like newegg.com for reviews.

I second that opinion from what Kenku mentioned. You wanna look for a custom laptop with good build options really, not by brand name. Then you have to look at how much you're willing to spend and how powerful of a laptop or computer you want it to be upon your needs. Check out places like Dell, Acer, and Toshiba. In my opinion, they have some good choices as far as what you want built into your custom machine. Sony is mehhh- but it wouldn't hurt for you to give them a try as well. Everyone's taste is different and like I said, depends on what you need in a laptop or desktop when doing so. Glad to finally hear from ya too! I'm still with ya on that new story too man. I haven't forgotten!

Where do I go to look for a custom laptop? I'll need help to know what build options I want. I don't know much about computer parts and functions.

Try looking up online like ACER.com or Sony.com via any search engine you use (IE: Google or Yahoo...) You'll see their official web page up top. There, they have an option to select customize your laptop. Their descriptions is pretty good. If you have any further questions, hit me up and I'll try to answer them as soon as I can, bro.

The story, after Act 1, splits into two parts. Follows Ranger and Celeste separately in each chapter, before end, which is why I mentioned Act 2.5.

Keeping track of characters introduced, we have Ranger, Celeste, and the Kabuki Fighter. There will be +1 new character, 1 character transformation, and +2 character reintroductions before Act1 is fully over.

As far as content, there's a setting change and +1 fight scene as well before Act 1.5 is over.
