I love the darker reds too!! I do like b/ts but they do grey up quick, they are stunning as puppies though omg stay like that forever puppy colours

Where I live there Is a fuck ton of ice cream factories and we got to have a
tour around them and make gallons of ice cream and eat it and all I made was bubblegum it was aaamazing.

y'know i HAVE a b/t and i never really noticed the grey LMAO i think because it's just the underfur when he's shedding?? which is constantly but if you brush it enough it kinda goes away....... so i just don't notice it as being "grey" omg...
NO I JUST LOVE SHIBAS IN GENERAL im dum and couldnt pick a fav colour u__u

I just don't like when dogs go grey really. It reminds me that they are old and it makes me sad WHINGE.
I have only noticed the grey though w/ dogs that don't
shed. Maybe only nonsheddy dogs go grey IM A GENIUS.

Hrm I don't know!! he had a lot of lightening around his face over the years, and his undercoat shows a lot more than when he was a puppy so his body is somewhat grey, but he's still not even 5 yet... shibas live for like, at least 15 years generally longer, so I highly doubt it's old age.
It's true though, a LOT of dogs will go grey or have lightening around the face when they're older. black-mask dogs (like german shepherds) get grey-face and yellow labs get a lot of white on their faces and so on...
who knows, maybe b/t shibs do go even lighter with age?? it's possible. but I think most of the grey you see in photos is young(er) dogs that just have lighter colour undercoats showing, cause that's what my shibs has lmao.

Yeah I think your right with the undercoat thing, especially when the grey isn't around the face. I find that old dogs with black coats get White flecks of hairs in their coat and grey muzzles but not completely grey coats.

yeah i've seen a lot of older dogs get that in black coats but w/ these dudes it definitely just seems to be undercoat showing through??? there's less of it during like autumn time but it's still not dark dark black.
