RC truck question. mainly the Slash 4X4

So I picked up a SLASH 4X4 about a month ago and the ESC craped out on me. I got a new one today ran it and had the battery caseing split as well at some white stuff come out of my ESC buy the battery and motor wires. I don't know what the white stuff is so I'm just asking for some info. I have pics of both if you want to see them.

Sounds like a battery failure. The white stuff could be battery acid. Won't know for sure unless I see it.

Looks like a glue of some kind. I honestly don't know.

Well thanks any ways ^^ I think its just a grease but I'll scour the web looking to see if any body road had the same thing happen.
