Almost all hair that you'd get in SL for furry avatars you have to manually adjust. 8c Which kinda sucks, but yeah.

Yeah... Derp has hairs that work good on their avatars, but a lot of other hairs are just adjusting to make look good on furry heads :o Hair is my least favourite part of new avatars, lol.

Yeah, it's just gonna take some editing. Luckily, it's not too hard to figure out.
Most hairs simply don't fit on a furry head without editing.

Chiming in more of the same; unless you're particularly lucky (like I happened to be) You''ll have to do some manually adjusting of the hair, which is a little tricky at first, but you get the hang of it quickly.

Right Click -> Edit is your friend. :3c

I wouldn't mind pointing out the basics of editing if you need help with that; though I agree with other people that DERP's a good bet when looking for stuff.

As for modding stuff in general, I know a few good mod shops/malls I could point you towards, toss you landmarks and such. Lunaria Luscus on there, just toss me an IM if you'd like some help or stuff. =3

Well, I don't know of any tutorials or anything, was more offering to give you first-hand instruction at some point if you wanted. Some things that might be of interest, I know of a giraffe mod for the DERP Ix, and if you can get someone to do the textures, it's perfectly doable to turn the Curious Chinchilla into an owlbear. There's also a Barn Owl kit for the 'chilla, and a Great Horned Owl head for sale at one of the modshops I mentioned. Will hop on and toss you LMs!
