Washington update
So, a few furs back home in Oklahoma have been badgering me to make an update on my big fat move to Washington :D OKAY FINE YOU WIN
So, I've been here for a little over three months, and I love this place. The weather is lovely (even when it's raining) and there are trees for days everywhere, something that I sorely wished for back in Oklahoma. All the furs I've met up here so far are really nice for the most part too :)
The culture here is phenomenal. I got to visit the Pike's Place market about a week after I first got here, and that completely blew my mind. The waterfront was beautiful! I got to see the Microsoft buildings, the space needle, and a lot of other washington icons too. The food here is AMAZING (Had a burger with an egg on it, I was like THEY DO THAT HERE?!) and just about ever restaurant that I get to go to I've had no complaints. I also got to visit Capitol Hill. which is like the college/gay district, and woooooow. just WOW. BOYS EVERYWHERE. AND UNDERWEAR SHOPS.
Now...it hasn't been all fun and rainbows. I've still unemployed, and money is super tight. I'm not really a visual artist, so I can't just be like LOL COMMISSIONS and make some emergency money. Being jobless is the most stressful part of living down here, because along with being broke, I'm also extremely proud, so when my most gracious roommates offer to help me out financially, I feel really guilty, even though I know they mean well. I do have plans to pay it all back once I'm working, but I just never have liked putting people out, especially finance wise. It was getting me really depressed, but I've gotten better about the whole thing.
Once I do find work though, everything will be right as rain (no pun intended)
So, any questions? :D
