hmm...hardcore might be a bit much to say about those extremist atheists...extremist might be good except there's no deathsquads hunting down religious peeps, hmm...how about just asshole atheists? hmm...asshole-atheists, asshole-christians, yep! there we go! (funny sidenote: when I made the first "asshole-" thing, the computer just moved along, but when I did that for the christian bit, the red line showed up under it...we now know who computers root for XD)

but anyways! yes, I know what you mean, and I find the assholes of every preference to be just annoying. it would be nice to live in a world of mellowed out, temperate minded peeps who don't have to flourish out their banners at every minor thing that is opposite what they think -w-

Know how you feel, I hate when any religious/non-religious view is too smug and extreme. I'm more of an agnostic myself, but the way I see it, so long as it's not hurting anyone, let people believe what they want to if it's what allows them to be happy. No need for hardcore debates with eachother over it.

I'm a mellow agnostic these days too, but back in my teens I was a smug asshole atheist too, so seeing them around is a painful reminder of what a dick I was.

Just a poin of order here, nothing too big: you're still and atheist. And you probably always were an agnostic. The two do not necessarily interact as they are on different axes of consideration. In fact, one can be an agnostic theist; most are, in fact.

Are atheists capable of being just as annoying as christians? Of course.

But in my experience, hyper-annoying is a much-smaller percentage for atheists than for christians.

i'd actually prefer asshole-atheists than asshole-christians, because at least they don't tell me i'm a bad person for enjoying life.

Frankly I hate both of them. The asshole-Christians are worse, but both where I live and where I hang out on the internet the asshole-Atheists are much more common, so I have a lot more encounters with them.

Unfortunately, my gramma's a christian, and although she's not one of the big ones, she still kinda irks me with her "god will solve ALL my problems for me" attitude o3o i still love her though.

ive never actually met the christian a-holes. i know they are out there like the west borough babtists but still no first hand encounters so i cant speak to how annoying they are. the atheists on the other hand act like its the end of the world unless they can make everyone take their opinion.

im so glad that these people are outlying in both cases, most atheists i know are agnostics and most Christians are the ones who understand that its not their job to judge others.
