well, healthy feet never get dry and cracked, when that happens if you are barefoot, it means they have a fungus because of wear socks and shoes too much, or that they are not made with leather and cotton. Calluses may be also caused by fungus.

if its just that then its fine, but yes, is like f you wear plastic gloves most of the day (as many sneakers are made of), your hands would sweat and eventually may develop some fungus. But if its just for the cold, its fine.

Being barefoot is the worst thing. Feet are made to wear some strong boots to deal with the world!

I love to be barefoot, it is just more comfortable for me, but that said i don't run or walk long distances barefoot.

So i walk barefoot only ONE in my life in the outside i just try this and when i run over the playground i stand to the broken glass bottle . My foot are very very bleed and i must borrow a keys to the home to my friend and he run fast to my home and pick up my boots i really lucky my house is really close.

Sorry i forget he pick up in my house my boots bandages and water bottle to clean this bad think one more day to remember

It depends. If you're walking to places barefooted, you need to be weary of where you step and what you step on. Especially if it's concrete that has loose rocks or glass.

It has been reported by anthropologists that humans had healthier feet a few hundred years ago because their feet grew accustomed to what they experienced. An example of this in our modern day is Cody Lundin, co-host of dual survival, who has dedicated a bit of his life to living life barefoot claiming it is a naturalist way to connect to mother earth. His feet have grown accustomed to harsh terrain and a couple episodes of the series show him in harsh cold weather. The only clothing he will use is socks in the snow (did this in 2 feet of snow in the mountains of Wyoming. It is difficult to say that this potential to create an immunity is worth the effort.

I have seen the TV show... yeah he talks much about his philosophy of barefeet, but it has shown being not too practical at some areas and he have got some injuries, personally i think its more of show off and keep people in to the show but, thats just me. You cant go barefeet everywhere.

I agree. I think the producers support that for viewing. And while the statement is true that you can't go barefoot everywhere the fact that people can walk barefoot on coals defies that statement. Although because of TOM's shoes mission we learn that there is a high risk in certain parts of the world where walking barefoot is not wise...lol. I guess that's why you have the series "Bears in socks!"

I heard that we're destroying our feet nowadays with shoes and socks... It just depresses me and makes me wish we would start de-evolving back into our more perfect primate selves... *sighs and looks at the gorillas with love and envy*

what benefit would u find in devolve to those feet? many people would find them anti aesthetic and with nasty callouses. Would be practical but would like know what u think.

Ability to climb, run, and be more adept at many things.... They would be larger, tougher, and powerful... there is beauty and power in being more natural, rather than the overly-civilized things we've become today. :(

well, being naked would be a drastic change, but you may accept its not practical for daily life or the activities that most of people do for a living. Protections are needed in the factories, field jobs and when manipulating certain substances. Maybe for home it could be an option. On the other hand ... it could have 2 sides, people now would be more critic about the body, shape and look, even without clothes people will judge others for the body, but on the good side, people also would feel more in contact with their own bodies and with other people close to them trough physical contact. It may have good and bad things. What things do you think it may change?

People would be more honest, less fearful of themselves and other things (thereby eliminating a LOT of problems, since fear is often the root of all evil), more open to new experiences.... I would hope it would do more good than harm, but I guess you can't have ying without yang.

I would love to get the shoes that are molded to the feet's natural function. Seen alot of lifters using them, it does have it's advantages.

yeah they are just like a flexible protection for feet, and some people say they give a better grip when doing the climbing thing. Not sure how much they would ptotect against sharp rocks.

still have to be careful where they step then again humans are known for being really stupid.

Well, I used to walk barefoot inside and outside when I was younger. On grass, on stone, on wood, even on snow! My parents thought I was mad! Unfortunately I have to wipe my floor more often when I'm barefoot all the time, especially in summer. And, well... dirty feet! Still I'm mostly barefoot at home.

hehe mud can be fun :) specially in a warm day, and a good wash with the hose, before enter home is funa nd will prevent your floors get dirty.

Still sweat will get you lots and lots of foot prints ;) Unless you have a carpeted floor.

Love being barefoot. I go all around the house barefoot, and often do my gardening barefoot. I usually get into sandals though.

i go around barefoot all the time, even though i shouldn't coz of my diabetes. I was a outdoor lifegaurd at a local water park and used to scrape my foot along the bottom and see how much sh*t and stuff i could bring to the surface.
