since i have to take a week off, take some time to poke fun at me. two takes, and you can hear my laughter from the first in the 2nd, so... fuck it, i can't edit audio!
it starts fucking weak, but i promise after the first 2 measures it's less sad.
i've had my ukulele for three weeks and i don't sing, and this song is JUST BELOW my range so there are lines that make me go all off key and shit. i honestly haven't recorded myself singing anything since i was 18. so over ten years. try not to laugh TOO hard.
still. :D adventure time songs! ....try not to crucify me, though, k? :D i know i don't sing like

Seriously this is so cute. Why you so cute?? ;o; And I love the Uke playing, you are great :D!! <3 I have only played two things on my Uke and recorded them... only one is up in my other gallery e.e I need to play more. It's very fun to play :3
can you hear how i struggle on the bar chords (B7 and to a lesser degree, D7)? god. it's honestly miraculous to me that I'm even hearing anything coming OUT of the B7, you should see the weeks of Facebook status updates I'd made over the past month bitching about how hard it's been!

But really, you played really well in my opinion! I have hardly played with mine :| The chords are a lot easier than guitar chords I find, sometimes it's only one finger for a chord like C which feels so odd to me after years of guitar playing X3
As for singing tips... I am the worst person to ask :s I never stand up to sing. I actually find it harder to sing standing up so i always sit at my desk :| It's a terrible habit and one that I must have really ingrained in to my voice. It feels like I have way more control when I am sat down. I have tried standing to sing and my range is a little better, but the notes aren't as strong.
I would say that you should sing however is comfortable. If that means sitting, there's nothing wrong with that. I think the most important thing is signing regularly. I found that as I have gotten older I have developed my voice a lot. I used to sing a lot differently (at least to my ears) when I was a teenager. Being on FA has made me sing more seriously. I sing quite a bit, I tend to sing along to music all the time... but I hardly seriously sit there and sing properly.
If you enjoy playing and singing, I say keep doing it :) You seemed to really enjoy recording this, it shows I think. I am pleased you were comfortable enough to share it, thank you for doing that. I really loved it.
And now since you showed us, we demand more from your uke playing and singing :3
