Putting things into perspective...

SO I woke up today massively depressed/sick/achey. I had one of those "powerless feeling" dreams about my brother and my car accident. I won't go into details. My wrists and my head were pounding with pain and my knee was almost too painful to move and I sat bolt upright in a cold sweat at about 6:00. I was almost late to work because I hit my alarm until about 7:30 trying to recover some sense of stability, hoping another 5 minutes of fitful tossing in bed would change that. No such luck, I showed, shaved, got dressed and rode my bike into work and took 3 advil when I got in. I was so out of it, I haven't bothered to eat yet today, which I guess is fine since I am such a terrible person for being a huge fatass.
I came into to work, and the website we do most of our business with the NH DES (Department of Environmental Services) is still down, after a week, so my dad is stressing more than usual. He's been depressed since March 1st and I'm starting to wear thin myself, finding myself barely holding onto my composure sometimes. We're also doing monitoring reports which are seriously the most frustrating thing because it's as close to working with regulators as we get and these ... people, have nothing better to do than to tell you new and exciting ways to make paperwork for a simple report even longer and more asinine.
Our computer system has also been acting up for the last month, with a shiny awesome supposed-to-be-fast-and-awesome Network Attached Storage device that after a month, won't transfer data faster than 10mb/s on our gigabit network with two modern computers. I finally got tired of WDs god awful tech support, shitty technology and fucking horrible updates/interface and pulled the 10 year old repurposed e-machine we used to use back out and now we're actually able to do work again. Also, my dad "updated" Adobe and now nothing opens, or it opens super slow even on his own machine. After a delightful talk with Adobes tech support, they suggested buying the latest version! Awesome support guys! Thanks, let me give you another $300 for a program you're going to probably "update" again in a year that will break it and force us to spend even more money.
They have a new person also doing our lab reports (did I mention we're doing our groundwater sampling for April and May?) and they sent us preliminary reports, which we can't use as the state requires QA/QC checked reports.... AND then they didn't send us invoices. This is all pretty common bullshit I deal with but... We had this all nailed down last year and it seems that someone somewhere is almost dumping piles of shit karma all over us. Thankfully, business has been good recently, and we could honestly not do any work for a year and still be in the black, but I like being able to rock out a report in a day and right now, I have 5 reports waiting for research, 3 groundwater monitoring reports waiting to be submitted, and no car so I have to use my dads 100 year old truck to do water sampling... and it's been pouring rain and cold and shit weather.
Also, all my new plants died, an entire batch got algae and it ate all the roots for my spring garden. My hydroponics arrays are now full of dead old plants cause I haven't had any plants to replace them with, so my apartment smells like rotting jalapeno peppers and nasty swamp water. I'm a bit peeved. I have just left it cause I've been too stressed, too mentally weak to focus and fix three plant arrays. My lemon bushes are also not doing so hot, so....that's another thing gone wrong. My apartment is a mess, I need to do a trash run, do laundry, and clean out my storage area.
Over the last weekend, there had been a string of spray painting vandalism along the street I live on. The cops obviously can't really do anything about it. They got our property and painted the side of one of my tenants trailers... his *new* trailer. They also spray painted on brick, which never ever comes off completely. Worst part, it's ICP fans. Juggalos vandalized my property. I guess I couldn't wish anything worse on them than that. Except maybe to have a can of spary paint shoved up their asses.
This is all on top of being anxious about my fiance getting a job and apartment up here, her parents making her life hell, my car being in the shop near-totaled by some jackass that drove off, and my weight not going down despite being hungry all the time and riding my bike 5 miles a day.
But, at least I have my freedom, own place, my own car (with insurance), a loving fiance, both parents, money in the bank, a good job and I live in Keene, NH in America. I have a lot to bitch about, I don't usually bitch about it, but today, I got low, I needed to vent. Sorry.

Perception is really the key. Your last sentence should be the length of the rest of the paragraph. And ask someone to clean up those dead plants, gosh....
As for the Vandals with spraycans... I heard buckshot and stonesalt are interesting prospects, but the sole solution I ever heard about the issue here in Germany is "Sharkskin": a water-based solution of urethane and some special minerals that is applied on walls to prevent algae settling down in stone facades of buildings - and which happens to be pretty effective against most sprayable lacquers, permitting one to brush them off with soap and water - and a lot of muscle power.
That your lady willmove in with you soon sounds, however, like a mighty good thing, so maybe it's jsut that the plants wanted to make room for her ? Plants are not really smart at times and might have misunderstood the consequences of her moving in. Dump the dead plants this weekend and pick a few that are positively fragrant like lemon balm for the intermediary period.
I have a question, though: What is an "ICP" fan?
Knowing several of my friends like ICP, I won't group them all together and say "delinquent welfare-grubbing chunks of toilet-bowl-rejected refuse" but there are some that surely fit that description.
Your description fits quite well the opinion I do have about that group after reading the article. Though you chastise yourself more than I would do in regards to colorful descriptions... *gives a reassuring hug* There are people for which 'Brains' is the main topic for Movie- Zombie dietetics, and 'Thinking' the term describing the 'please wait' mousecursor.
