have you tried writing around the block? sounds weird, but if a particular place in a current story is giving you trouble, think and write out the following scenes than return and link the two up. as for motivation to write... write what you enjoy, makes things a whole bunch easier. for instance I very much enjoy smut, dirty, glorious smut. thus I find it easy writing said smut, and any plot that develops around that is largely incidental :D
