Question for everyone and kind of-rant
So I get the commission several months ago. I start working on it, and I scrap it because I'm unhappy with the result. And I vanish for a while, due to IRL complications.
I come back, apologize for the delay, get to work, finish said commission and uploaded. All parties seem happy.
It's been a month since I uploaded said piece, and suddenly, they're unhappy with the result and want me to completely re haul it; do I have a right to be upset?
Because I kind of feel like, since my style's improved, they just want a free piece because my newer uploads are considerably better in quality.
Should I completely redo this piece? Should I tell them no? I don't feel like I have the time to redo it even if I wanted to, considering I'm moving in two days, which will be a three day drive, and then I'll have a very hellish schedule in college.
Anyone else have this problem?
P.S. (VERY IMPORTANT)
Also, I've purposely left out the said commissioner's name out of RESPECT, don't think this a personal attack on you, because it's not. I put time and effort what I did for you, and I don't appreciate you not telling me immediately and then expecting me to completely redo the piece. I'd also appreciate it if you didn't post in this thread, because that's a shit fight waiting to happen. And no, I will not tell anyone else who said commissioner is, because unnecessary drama is unnecessary.

Improving as an artist is a given. Whining for something better isn't.
I would understand if you changed your prices suddenly, but sounds like they're trying to rub free art out of you.
You can be a courteous artist, but not a generous one. Art is work, and some people don't understand that.
It's like saying: 'I bought this food a month ago but now that you have fresher stuff I want that.'
They should be ashamed for making a claim like that so bold.
They are greedy and want a better quality picture. At the time they commissioned you they knew the quality of your work, yes? And I'm pretty sure they were happy with it too. They paid for the product and received it and now they want a free product upgrade... I find this very rude to you and no you should hold your head up high and just let this little gremlin not bother you.
I do have 2 ideas though...
1. You can redo their commission but for 25% off, because the bases is already done just needs a slight rework.
2.Tell them (it may be blunt) to go and just deal with it they knew what you could do and it is not your fault that they want more
P.S. Hi itz GOBI!!!
