I visited an old YG group that's still around (not active at all, though - just like the rest of YG) and found a post from over ten years ago with a list of other YG groups that hadn't been deleted just yet (but most of them would be gone within a month or so).
I don't think I even knew of half of these groups. If you were posting back then do you remember which groups you were in?

I was a member of a shit-ton of groups back in the day (1998, gradually stopped using them once Deviantart and such got popular around 2003)

On that list, off the top of my head... I think I'm in Playmouse, ValsLostArt, romus_z, zeros_sketchbook and a bunch of others you don't have listed... I started watching the latter three artists on FA as the old Yahoo Clubs/Groups serve as a nostalgic reminder of what we had and old art those artists may never post again in all its dialup-friendly, 256-color, jpeg-compressed glory.

just had a quick look and... I probably should have reread the above journal :/ it seems to be gone along with a good chunk of other groups I was a part of...

but I'm FAIRLY sure a good amount might be saved deep in my older My Documents, I'll skim through and collect what I have and give you a heads-up if you're still possibly interested.

Wow, I recognize a number of those... I still hang around the Extinctioners groups and the main ZigZag/Max ones... Skunkworks and Sabrina Online's groups, too.

I barely touch them anymore but yeah I still check Max's and Porncraft (since I made them) other than that, a nostalgic check every few months or so. :)

Can you believe the eradication of the furry groups was over ten years ago now? I can't imagine what was lost because of yahoo's stupid decisions.

I check but wasnt on this one it seems, mostly they are overrun by porn spammers now only the groups that survived the purge and have active moderators keeping the spammers out are still active.

TGtoons wasremoved several times from Yahoo without any warning or reason given. Each time they also took out my Yahoo ID which i would just restart with a number after the name.
Oddly I thing TGannex is still there even though it's had nothing happening for about 8 years. It was set up to handle extra stuff for the first TGtoons, now I have no way to log in for the ID that's on it so I can't even shut it down.

I remember many of those. Sadly many of the groups died from all the spam and migrations to message board type galleries and more currently Rule34 and it's many variants. But sadly, I lost access to several when my old Id was randomly deleted by Yahoo along with several groups I was a member of.

Anyone remember the group for Sawblades Renamon archive and TDK's group.... But oddly enough Sawblade vanished around 2003~ 2005 but a single renamon pic dated 2008 showed up on Rule 34 last year... Still one of the better Renamon artists around at the time.
