The new navigation bar.. :-/

I must confess that I liked the old layout better. It was a quiet corner dedicated only for navigating. Now it is right next to some annoyingly blinking ad. Ads may actually be the reason for the change - after all ads are there to be seen, but still - it's too distracting, maybe even tiring.
Of course I don't mind ad banners, I see their necessity. And, having to move the mouse cursor over them everytime I want to navigate, I guess I could live with that too. What really gets me are animations and blinking. Why, just why?

While there *may* be people who rant about every and any change no matter what kind of change it is (just because it's different from what they are already used to), this is not the case here. This will keep on sucking big time no matter whether new or old.
There have also been changes in the past which I didn't care about or which I even thought of as an improvement.
Not all new things are doomed to be bad.
Hmmm, ich glaube sie sagen irgendwo dass das neue Layout mit IE nicht funktioniert. Könnte das der Grund sein?
