Hello people! Time for another Update Fox.
I have my laptop back! Woo!
I've finished my first year of university as of today! Woo!
I'm currently planning out a game I mentioned in the last journal! Woo!
Speaking of which. Here's the thing. Whilst I'm fine on the design side of making games, my coding knowledge is pretty naff/ very limited. The game idea is at principle, very similar to the phoenix wright games. A text based mystery/adventure game with animated sprites.
So stuff like looking for clues, talking to clients and witnesses, accusing people etc.
My only problem is, I don't know how to code this. A text based adventure wasn't on the modules in my course. I gathered it must be fairly simple but I just don't know what to do. I've tried searching google for tutorials but I haven't found any. Does anybody here know? Is anybody able to help me? c:

I've had some GML experience though, if you need that.
Wait, using Unity for 2D games? Why not use GML?
Also if you want purely text, you could always try Inform or Adrift...
I've already made a couple of games in it, it's my system of choice!
