I found out if you say "oh it's just a fledgling" to a fledge Great Horned owl on the ground it will turn around and jump into the lake behind it.
So I spent all day with my shoes soaked and pants soaked almost to my knees. Little Owlman is now with Aggie since the park he was in is about to have a HUGE event weekend and he was just not safe on the ground, next to the lake (especially since he was all soaked from jumping into a lake).
P.S.
That Golden Eagle is in the flight cage flying.
A few weeks of exercise and we're positive he'll be going back to the wild.
