I assume you have a wacom?

Just gonna toss this out because im BBQing.

Download the latest wacom drivers, don't install.
Go to Wacom Tablet Preference Utility, and click to remove preferences, this normally forces the wacom to light right up and work.
Dosent work?
Install the new drivers ontop of the old ones, restart, keep your tablet plugged in. Restart, open Sai, try sketching, dosent work? Talk to my on skype.

Remove preferences like I said, and or if needed install new drivers you downloaded ontop of the old ones (do not remove old ones) Restart or restart later, fire up photoshop, doodle in the canvas, then close, fire up sai.

yeah, not working, photoshop is actually being more of an asshole than sai is about my tablets

Had this exact same problem the other day. I'm not sure if he was able to fix it but try contacting him as he may have found the solution if ^his does not work for you.

Sai has issues with tablets regardless, I got a Cintiq 21 and AMAZINGLY! NO ISSUES!

I think WD had a cintiq and thats what he was having issues with I'm not too sure though I don't recall him stating what it was exactly.

ya, most of the time a quick removal of preferences removes whatever the issue it was having with the program, because its like a setting gets installed... OHH OR!

Remove preferences, then fire up photoshop, test it by stroking the pen in shop, then fire up sai, that also works.

Ya, don't buy a custom rig, over priced shit because they like to stick crappy hardware into the system to save money, get somebody who knows how to build computers to build one.

Built mine for less then $2,000.00 not a single problem.. GTX580, 3 hdd's, I7 3.7 and 12gb ram (could install 32 gb If I wanted but I don't.)

Built it last year, runs every game I can throw at it on the highest settings possible.

Building a computer these days is simple, you just push a card in and click it and bam, if anything you need help with ask a friend or me or something on what you should buy. What type motherboard can fit what processor for example. Just make sure you don't bend any prong while installing a cpu and BAM! I have a picture of my PC i built in my gallery somewhere last year, or my scraps.

This is me kind of joining in w/o permission i guess, but my bf built a custom that can handle EVERYTHING that's been thrown at it (and i mean video games like crysis, far cry 2, all that mess with all the graphics turned as far up as they'll go, for extended periods of time), no problem(meaning it doesn't go over 40C), for..$600. So, you don't have to fork out $2000, you can make an amazing one for under $1000 EASY if you get the right stuff.

The graphics card I listed costed around $490 at the time, Nearly anything can run Crysis and Far Cry 2 now a days, but can it run Crysis 2 Direct X 11 with HQ texture mapping on. Because that game is unoptimized crap, even with my pc I experience the occasional "oh no" less then 50 frames a second.

It happen to me some time i got to download again for wacom tablet then work again.

/uninstall/ everything with the old drivers that you can. Make sure all the preferences are cleared for it. Make sure the program folder for it is deleted afterwards, etc. Restart. Plug in the tablet to make sure it's not recognized and isn't being assigned a driver still. Reinstall drivers from CD if you can, repeat and then try drivers from the web if this doesn't work.

I've heard of strange issues (You did say you bought a new tablet?) where people plugged in both tablets to get one to work. Dunno why this is.

Also try to use "roll back driver." For whatever reason Windows doesn't work logically and sometimes it won't work until you repeat the same thing a few times. Are there any windows updates you installed the last few days? Any new programs? Try uninstalling them.

This happened to me too often on my laptop so I said fuck it and bought a new PC. I'M QUITE POSITIVE THAT THIS IS THE BEST SOLUTION. FINANCES MEAN NOTHING, CLEARLY.
