Confuzzled, great for some, @#!&ing amazing for others!

So super sad right now. Having to say goodbye to some really great people after some of the best days of my life at Confuzzled, that I probably won't see again for another year, if at all.
It was my first Con and as such meant quite a bit to me. It meant coming full circle - finding a place for myself and realising once and for all, yes, I'm furry. I'm so mad at myself for leaving the fandom prematurely all those years ago, how much I've missed.
So much of this new inspiration comes from the volunteers and con organisers. Nobody got paid to put together what they did and yet they gave so much, were so professional and spared no detail. Walking into the Rotunda and seeing the banners there, made just for CF, really hit me somehow.
And then there were the performers. I know I'm a bit of a fanboi, it comes with being new - you see these people only on videos, you hear about them only from freinds who have themselves only heard of them, they inspire us as to what can be achieved in the fandom - and then all of a sudden you are faced with the real thing. They are just people after all, dedicated and talented people - but more importantly, nice people. A trait our furry celebrites don't seem to share with the hollywood ones (Cameron Diaz is a bitch!).
I think a lot of judging was going on at CF - there were quite a few furs being judgemental of the guests of honor arriving by helicopter and getting star treatment - some of those doing the judging, ironically, had even gone through the experience themselves. Then we all got to know them, the kind of people they actually were, and realised they are just like us, just more willing to put themselves up and out for us to enjoy. After Kiyo's dance competition and Mangusu's reaction - it seemed things were just able to be relaxed and enjoyed. I know I learnt something from watching the whole thing play out - i hope others did too.
That said, I still hunted down and got photos with all my favourites :D After going to five London fur meets I finally get a photo with Kiyo!! (at CF no less). Also Ari - god I love Ari, so cute and a great performer. Hanging out and helping Mangusu with his set meant I got a closeup view of Monsteroo, a huge highlight for me - and thanks to Tzup, I got to meet Buddy! Wierdly though, I got super shy and ran off!! Props to Buddy for trying to call me back to talk - that was nice, it would of been easier to just let me go.
I won't talk about the food or the hotel, as we all know they were great - so i guess that really just leaves the people. All the furs I talked to there were amazing - I learnt some names, made some good freinds, made some GREAT freinds - and well :p
Those who aren't Londonfurs - I'm missing you already - please track me down on facebook. Those who are, I'll see you in two weeks at LFM with some great stories!!!
