Bumps in the road are a fact of life, how well it turns out is all in how we handle it. For me, this is a catalyst to go camping and do a dry run of my equipment before my adventure begins. I would have liked more time to fix up my bike, less money invested in people and things which have now become irrelevant, but this isn't my first rodeo and I'll figure it all out somehow. :)

C'est la vie, I am nomadic, this kind of thing doesn't bother me too much, except for the whole "people you thought you could trust kicking you out when it gains them nothing" aspect. My only downfall was in expecting this to be a stable location for a period of time - if I had known things were going to go tits up, I wouldn't have invested money in art supplies (or that friendship), I would have gotten my bike fixed sooner or been able to make arrangements to use somebody's shop space, etc etc.

It's nothing I can't adapt to, though, and with there still being a location for my extra stuff until I can sell it off, it's really mostly a nuisance.

Yeah, I've got a bead on a nice site about 60 miles outside of town, with some woods near a river. :)

Also a fancy expensive tent with aluminum poles I got off of craigslist for less than $100.

Compared to the camping I did on my trip in that shitty $20 walmart tent, this is practically a hotel room. :3

Plus that solar panel I got... for electricity. In the woods. Bahahaha.

wow you got solar and everything. i dont even use the tent all the time down here lol, sometimes i just lay in the grass and go to sleep for the night in the opened. i scored a solar phone charger, but it doesnt fit my phone, i have to score an adapter, then i will at least be reachable when im out in the mountains. lol would make my grandma worry less.

Solar, water filter, sterno stove. I am pretty set. One week later and I really only go to town for wifi and snax. Wish I knew more wild edibles tho!

Solar works well.. gets some charge even with overcast shitty weather (a constant in oregon!)

I wish I could get used to sleeping out like that but I really hate bugs crawling on my face :(

lol if bugs crawl on my face i dont notice them. but i know we dont have any deadly bugs so i sleep easy.

I just can't stand the sensation... lol. I get all twitchy and can't sleep. Even while awake it drives me nuts.

The funny thing? When they arent crawling on me, I love most insects. Super fascinating.

i always did have an interest in entomology myself. more variety than any other group, and truly unique anatomy.

Absolutely. I'll admit that there's a creeping depression that sometimes shows up in negative situations, due to my poor sense of self-worth, and having somebody else there to cheerlead me on, even if he can't be out there with me, really helps.

yeah it always helps. I know the feeling cause I sorta feel the same way at times getting depressed over myself, but my bf helps at times when he does talk to me. v.v
