No Donation Art/Site Update for June
General
As I mentioned last month, I work full time now; I'd hoped to work on commissions in the evenings but 9 hours of hard labor doesn't leave me with any energy, so commission work (what remains of it) has to be restricted to the weekends. Therefore:
Donations
There will be no new donation art in June. There will probably not be any new donation art for a while, in fact. I want to prioritize my commission work, then when those are done I'll finish up the Oasis comic series. I don't know when that will be, but I have decided to post the last 2 pages of this final donation comic in my galleries for free.
So to be clear: for the Oasis donation comic set only, Page 1 is free (already appears in my galleries). Pages 2, 3 and 4 are currently available for a donation of $10 each. Pages 6 and 7 (the last pages) will be posted publicly when they are completed (an announcement will be made at that time).
You may send donations if you wish to receive any of the previous gift art (see instructions and list at duoradon.com), but please do not donate for new art, you will not be able to purchase anything new.
Site Update
I will not be updating my site in June either. I will wait until I have more new art before I make an update. An e-mail notice will be sent out to those in my mailing list when that happens.
Commissions
As for future commissions, it looks like I may not be off work as long as I thought; it could be only a month or two in the winter. I won't know until it actually happens, unfortunately, but that would mean I'd only have time for a few commissions each year. I am taking down my commission queue, but when I know what I'll be doing this winter, I'll start with those that had already signed up before I open to the public. Those people being: Kamatz, QuetzaDrake, Rana, Rabbitfangs, William, Addylad, Shaun R., Ryan F., Christian S., Wraeth N. and Kai, in that order. Naturally, I'll contact you first to ask if you're available before I request any info from you. If, at any time, you wish to be removed from my commission list, please please please let me know so I don't have to waste time trying to get in touch with you.
If anyone is interested, this is what I currently have in the works and will be posting eventually: 3 large color images of varying content, 1 flat color BE pic, a 5 page line-art stuffing/WG comic, and 1 color micro vore comic page. After those are done, I move on to my own projects as time permits.
Zoo Job
I did have something interesting happen today at work......our team takes care of the grass and landscaping at our zoo, including a strip that encircles the current wolf exhibit. The animals are kept inside with a chain link fence, but from the visitor's side, people are kept back from the fence by a railing. Even if the wolves come right up to the fence, you're still about six feet away from them.
I was working behind the exhibit, up against the fence, down on my hands and knees trying to dig out a thistle that was growing against the fence when I looked up and there was a wolf nose 3 inches from my face. She wasn't snarling or anything, just curious. They're arctic wolves, so she's a whitish-gray with beautiful gold eyes. I talked to her and made kissy noises at her (I have no idea why humans do that to animals but we all do) and when she decided I didn't have any treats, she moved on. Then her sister had to come over and check me out too. It kind of made my day....the work itself may be brutal sometimes, but being so close to wild animals is totally Math.

Again, thanks so much to everyone who has watched me this past month! *shakes paws*
When will there be more of this?
A word about my commissions: I get a lot of similar questions about the pictures I post here and on my site; people ask if I'm going to continue a certain comic series or take the project from line art to color in the near future. Please, read the description of the image; if it's listed as a "commission", that means someone paid me to draw it for them. I personally had nothing to do with the characters or what's happing in the picture/comic, I just drew what was described for me. If the person paid for 3 comic pages, we did 3. If they paid for line art only, that's what I did for them. I'm truly flattered that folks are so keen on these pieces, but it's not up to me in any way to make more for the set or scenario. If there is to be more added to a project, it's up to the person who bought it to commission more.
And in regard to making additions as a request instead of a commission, I regret that my financial situation will not allow me to take requests at this time. I can't even get my own projects done right now.

On the other claw, as I looked at the date today, I said to myself, "Hey, it's the last day of the month! When I get home from work, I'll drop the June donation to Duo before she announces it!"
I am very very happy for you, but on a perfectly selfish note, I already feel the pinch of new Duo works becoming even more rare and precious. =D

You watch Adventure Time, don't you?
Oh yes, it's my favorite show ^_^
