June already. This year just seems to be flying by...
My Mood
I’ve been doing a lot better the past month, my mood seems to have evened out quite a bit. I managed top go for several weeks without hitting a downer, until I hit a depressed/bad mood on Friday. But at least I seemed to come out of it reasonably quickly.
So, a big thank you to everyone I’ve been talking to over the past several weeks for helping me get my mood back on a somewhat even keel again.
My Art
Big development on the art front: I now have a graphics tablet!
Thanks to doing a good bit of overtime at work recently, I found myself with a bit of spare cash, so decided to finally take the plunge and get one. It arrived Saturday, and I ended up spending much of Saturday playing around with it and getting used to it.
This being the first time I’ve ever used a graphics tablet, it took some getting used to. It felt quite weird at first, and as a result, my first few attempts at drawing with it were both horrible and frustrating. But I kept at it and I seemed to start getting the hang of it. I’ll post a few finished pics soon.
OK, since some are bound to ask, the model I got is a Genius G-Pen M712X. Also since some are bound to comment on that, please don’t go telling my what model I should have bought. I don’t doubt there are brands and models that are better. But they were all inevitably beyond my price range or too small for my liking. I wanted a reasonable size with reasonable features, at a reasonable price, and this one fit those criteria, and had good reviews. So far, I’m very pleased with it.
New Group? Opinions?
Another thing I’ve done very recently is try my hand at starting an FA group. Since the hypnofurs group on here is pretty much dead, I decided (a little on the spur of the moment) to start a new hypno/mind control one. And since that is my personal preference, I decided to make it an all male mind control group, because I imagined there were probably others with a similar taste:

However, the necessity of the group has already been questioned, as it seems someone else already started a mind control furs group:
mindcontrolfurs. Also, it has been questioned whether or not it is a good idea to segregate male and female.
So, I thought I’d ask what others think. Is this group of mine a good idea or bad? Is it unnecessary? Are you interested in such a group? Should I carry on with it? All opinions on this matter are welcome.

But getting better takes practice as it seems to be. But other that, that's good that your getting better. We all gotta pull each other through here.

I guess maybe the important thing to do would be to ask the admins how it plays with the policy. I personally think it's unique enough to still fit but I'm not the most informed on such things. Just my 2 cents on the matter.
I am glad that you're doing better as well. Being down all the time is just the pits and something that myself and my friends have appeared to been struggling with recently. Hopefully it keeps on the up and up :)
Oh horusome! Im sure you'll have lots of fun experimenting with that! I tried drawing with a tablet about a year ago. Im more of a traditional when i do any drawing myself now. But i certainly learnt alot when i tried it on a PC.
Im sure you'll not only improve more of your art, but also be inspired to do more drawing. Wish you all the best with it and have fun!
Well, after scanning over my journal list, seems that hypnofurs has recently woken up again. Heh. Coincidental timing!
But yeah, i quite like the idea of all male mind control/hypno group. That sounds pretty good to me. But maybe you could contact the other mindcontrolfurs group and make an association with them. Ive seen related groups also write in their profile description of who else they are linked to. So maybe try that out.
I will happily watch both these groups and post them on my favourite groups list.
