The best cartage for scratching since around the time I was born has been the Shure M44-7. I like it quite a bit. There's a rival to it which is the same price made by Ortofon called the RF7. I just ordered an Ortofon headshell and RF7 and I'm going to see which I like best!
In the mean time, I only have 1 needle between 2 turntables! I've been using an MP3 player to play the breaks (and
Baddwill , I've been using a lot of your beats!). But soon I'll be able to use two turntables. Looking forward to that! I'll also see about posting a weekly scratch session to my blog or on Youtube. I'll let you know!
I came close to buying Traktor Scratch from Native Instruments, but man, it's $300! Considering I've never had a full-time job and I don't even have a part-time job at the moment, I just couldn't stomach it. Some time in the future though!
