I have thought of this one for a little while and saw some humor or irony in my story so just wanted to share it. More or less, how i got in to the fandom and why I chose my Fursona.

so about a year ago on army time, i went to my friend Phreddy fox's room in the barracks and discovered the fandom via youtube videos by accident... man was I hooked instantly. I took the plunge to try and determine my Fursona. I also was determined to get my self a suit. I was lucky enough to find one on furbuy that was close to where I was based, and that was how I ended up with Sierra. I knew though that was not the main character that I would end up being, and it wasnt until around say last fall or early winter of last year that I started to really get an idea of what it would be.

A little bit about me and the reason why I chose Edge, a male black tailed deer (yeah i know he has red too eh lol). I am originally from the coast of British Columbia, and over there are the prettiest of deer (IMO) which well i am sure you guessed it, are black tailed deer. very similar to a mule deer in antler configuration but well, a tail more like a white tail's, but with a black tip on the outside. Along with growing up in BC, I grew up with hunting deer (OMG! please now no hate talk, I use what I get and work hard for it and am forever thankful... unlike most people with their meat) and with that grew up chasing these deer through the woods and gaining a strong respect to them. I doubt many people here can say they had a freaking fawn walk literally a foot from them away (yes while hunting and no I was not in a stand).

okay so we have determined a bit of a respect thing for the species, what about the other details? well i didnt really think about it much on colour, but I did recently realize that well they reflect the same colouring that is used in native art, we have a native community in my home town. And about a male character? I grew up a tom boy kind of girl.... I work on tanks for a job so far haha, not very lady like am I? Although I enjoy going to the mall, I also enjoy shooting, driving trucks (big and small), dumb army shit, and well, mostly guy things... and things i dislike well, girly stuff and... boobs. sorry but just cant like em haha, especially on a furry, just not my thing. that would also show how I choose a more feral image too. I would prefer to be a deer with antlers, and a doe just doesnt cut it.

so I guess it comes down to the conclusion that my character must be some uhh cannibalistic carnivorous.... deer lol. I do have to laugh at the thought... but really... just... no.

so thats my story and im sticking to it!
