Twenty hours and counting
The Venus transit is now twenty hours away and the weather forecasts all through the west coast have turned for the worst. There’s nowhere within driving distance from Seattle that doesn’t have less than a 50% chance of rain or cloud cover. With the options shrinking I’m going to have to gamble on finding somewhere close that could have cloud breaks through at least part of the day. Or staying put and watching online. The online option isn’t too bad, http://events.slooh.com/ has a test video up and they’ll have ten or more observing sights available to watch. Pretty slick site, go check it out if you can’t travel.
