Do you have a strong work ethic? If so, i wouldn't worry too much. Companies really don't want to hire more people just so they can spend the money to train them just to get fired.

It's walmart though, they have strict policies, and our managers follow them. A no call no show is automatically the next level of "coaching" and I was, at least two months ago, due to stomach issues the doctors can't figure out, up to level two. And those things last for 6 months. I don't remember when I got my level 1 though, that one might be gone by now. Blah.

if your online right now, you know if you have aheadset you could call your job from your computer... it could help/work? ive done it before, but it was just for talking to another firend cause my fone wouldnt work til the next week so i relied on that.

2: Give them the number of your work.

3: They phone your work, explaining the situation and apologizing for your absence

4: Job saved LIKE A BOSS and you get to dance in your pants at home since you can't get in to work :D

Hahah, that was what I was trying to do, but nobody was online last night. Buncha old farts going to bed early. xD

And the second problem with that, is there is a 1-800 number we have to call, an hour before our shift starts if we are calling off, or as soon as we can if there is a reason we are going to be late, you need to give social security number, birthdate, store ID number, and the number of the store, also choose what sort of absence it is, why it's an absence, and write down a verification number. Could you imagine having to go in for emergency surgery and the person you have to call for you doesn't know your info? It's all kept track of by computers, so the managers can't fix it if you screw up. Its your own responsibility to make sure it's done right. xD Yay walmart making everything so user friendly. Oh man.
