strangely concept artists are bigger than normal artists imo.

I watch you because of the concepts I saw before in your arts (invariably DA I think or another site) and have been watching ya for long time now.
Never really been disappointed. XD

The thing is that I have about maybe a 10% chance of getting in as a full blown concept artist. So, I tend to take that chance than hoping on making a blind push for a random and non existent cause.

That is true.

On the concepts, I find myself torn in showing them and really exposing myself towards my own IP being stolen. I am pretty sure that my ideas have been taken multiple times. I wish that instead of that, that whomever does it actually gives an opportunity to the people who originally made the idea, maybe making them more cash than by just stealing, but most people and most businesses are too short-sighted to take that notion, and that's sad and pretty questionable behavior that is being engaged.

I thank you for that. I have improved in line work in the last couple of years, and even my old art teachers are fans of my own lineart. I just wish I can color as well as I can draw.

I like you because I like the way you draw. your style is unique or at least uncommon. I admit I love dirty art but its not the only thing I like.I appreciate well drawn art. Its too bad you didnt enjoy Anthrocon last year. Hopefully I can run into you at some sort of future convention or something. You were a pleasant roomate last year and I enjoyed looking at your sketchbooks and appreciated my sketch you gave me of Tails.

I pretty much know what you meant with the first sentence, and now I concede to the notion that I can draw things well. My worries are now is that enough to avoid being mired in misery for 10 or 20 years, which I am working on. Luck and connections comes into play with that, too and I am pretty lousy in the both departments.

I guess I didn't enjoy myself in Anthrocon last year because:

I did not "announce" it very much in advance, so many looked surprised to see me as I am in the flesh, or was like "get out of my sight"

Probably because I felt out of place, also. When I was there, I brought myself, not a "fursona" or any alter ego, like I do in the internet. That is not exactly compelling. I guess if I had a table and drew a few pieces, that "fish out of water" feeling would dissipate, but that unfortunately did not happen. So, I learned that I am not much of a con guy.

I thought that I was pretty bad about my snoring and thus lost 25-30 pounds from then. But I am glad that you liked the sketchbooks and that quick sketch of "Tails" that I did. Wish I had the opportunity to do more then, I kind of predicted the financial situation that I am in now. (basically shackled.)

Thanks, Rick. I think that it isn't going to work at the freelance level for me or at least this level of freelance level., but that's where my other styles come into play.

My goal is not to be at the freelance level for long. Networking is not my strength, though.

I watch your account because you draw thing that I either find amusing or very well drawn and creative.

I first started watching you on dA, I think, and I did so because I like your style. I think I first found you while going thru somebody else's favorites and seeing your video game art, and then I looked at more of your stuff and thought "Hey, this guy is pretty talented!"

I was starting to gain a thought that doing game art might be in the future but now, it looks like that is going to be a hard thing to achieve.

I knew who it was without reading the description, which is rare for me. Most game and tv characters that are drawn here are a big blank. That piece was recognizable even though you reassigned a species to the character!

I pretty much want to have some form of familiarity when crossing things, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But I appreciate that people can recognize what I am trying to do. It's beginning to become pretty hard to network effectively otherwise at this time.
