Awesome prequel!
YES...I'm counting this as a prequel to the Alien movies even though Ridley says it isn't for the following reasons:
1) Same universe
2) Xenomorphs
3) Wayland Enterprise
4) Spack Jockeys/Engineers
5) Facehugger
6) Same main planet at planetoids
7) Same alien space craft
A very well crafted movie...even though it leaves some unanswered questions.
