When I learned of this one show a few years back, I was confused; appalled even: “They actually made a show about the toy series!?” I thought to myself, “But it looks so… Stupid!” And stupid it was, seeing that the toys were aimed for a completely difference age and audience, yet some treated it like something that it was meant for them. So yeah, completely weirded out when I found out that there were grown men admitting to like this show, with another bunch hating the hell out of it. As such, I avoided the show like a plague.

Skip to a few days ago, when Netflix decided to recommend me this show to me out of the blue. “Really, Netflix?” I pondered, “You brought this up? And what’s this? Two seasons? Really now?!” Indeed, I was annoyed by the choice, and made me wonder what I DID watch for it to recommend it in the first place, but for the sake of humoring it, I played the first episode. And the one after. And the one after.

In no time I found myself attached to it… And being amused by it! Turns out that despite of the silliness, there is some cleverness hidden underneath it: References that I found amusing, a few funny lines, voice actors which I recognized and rejoiced when I heard them, among other things. So here I was, an adult man enjoying this cartoon…

So here I am, apologizing to this cartoon for ignoring it all this time. Granted, that isn’t enough for me to become a rabid fanboy of it, it does made me appreciate the good bits it has. That’s when I decided voice my opinion of it, for the fairness of those who loved it first.
