I Safely arrived back home yesterday after a 2 hour flight. sure beats the hell out of driving 24 hours, its also a hell of alot cheaper.
I also ordered a new Canon 5D MKII with the 24-105 lens on Saturday from best buy and it should be here today or tomorrow... but it feels like forever.
meanwhile, it looks like im going to need to invest another $100 into a good high speed CF card, because mine only write at 20mbps and i need at least 50mbps for continuous 1080p shooting. not to mention my current cards are only 2 gigs, which are fine for photos, but would fall on its face while shooting video.
