19 and 1/2 weeks ultrasound today. It's a....

...Phth! Who knows?!
I had my anatomy scan today, but Kitten was being VERY uncooperative. Which comes as no surprise to me, because every other time they've tried to find out something specific with her (I'm still convinced it's a she for some reason), she's run away or played hide & seek. Usually this happened when they'd use the Doppler to try to get a heart rate. She retreated before during an ultrasound at 9 and a half weeks once, when there was way more room to move, but they were still able to get a decent picture. This time? She wouldn't let anybody see her naughty parts. I kinda knew that was gonna happen. She kept her legs crossed the whole time and absolutely refused to move them. Moved everything else, did a little punching, but kicking, which she usually seems to love to do... nope! Not today! Brat... I'm supposed to go back for another ultrasound in a few weeks to hopefully get a better look at her, so that maybe we can finally see if she's really a she, or if she's actually a he. At which point I'll switch off to calling the baby Puppy instead of Kitten.
Other than that, the baby is growing right like she should. Everything looked good. I'm still chillin' with no negative pregnancy symptoms, which is both a blessing and a curse at the same time. Some days, if Kitten has been especially quiet in there, I'm like... "You still in there, or did you sneak out in the middle of the night?"
At least I'm halfway through. I'm really looking forward to being able to actually see and hold my little one, rather than relying on fuzzy ultrasound pictures to see her.

good luck finding out those naughty bits! and hopefully it is what you want!
i kept thinking and referring to her as a 'he' until i was proven wrong! hehehe!
I'm waiting on a call from the folks I'm being referred to who have the uber ultrasound machines. I expect it'll be 3-4 weeks before I get another chance to know. *sigh*
I'm feeling it's a girl too. XD
My mother showed some of her friends the print I made of my 12th week ultrasound image. Apparently, they all said, "It looks like a girl." I guess women just... have an instinctual knack for this or something. It's really gonna be interesting to see if everybody loses their "bet" on the gender at this point! LOL!
People have a lot of "practices" that predict what someone will be having. Like putting a crystal over you and seeing the way it swings.
by the time they hit 3, you don't even want them to have ARMS >.<
(I've been a parent twice, I know this ALL too well...)
grats, I'm sure 'she' will be a handful =^.^=
It sounds like everything's going really well for you too! I hope it keeps up...and you luck out with NO negative pregnancy symptoms! It happened to a woman I worked with for her first child...she even worked up until the day she had her baby, she was so energetic and healthy! Her water broke just at closing time that day and she went right to the hospital from work! *chuckle*
I'm hoping the baby will cooperate at the next ultrasound. It's okay buying gender neutral stuff. I was planning to mostly do that anyway. But geez is it hard to find stuff that isn't strictly for girls or boys. Unless it's plain white, which is so boring...
It's not that I never had to worry about running to a bathroom to throw up when I least expected it. <--- should say: "It's not bad that I never had to worry about running to a bathroom to throw up when I least expected it." Missed a word! >_<
Yeah...finding gender neutral stuff is hard. When I was looking for a gift for a pen-pal who had a baby, which was a girl...she loved dogs--it was hard to find girls' baby clothes with a dog motif. It was like dog/boy and cat/girl!
You'd think in today's world, where they try to break stereotypes, that you'd see more gender neutral stuff! *wry chuckle*
