Feedback please?

It seems neither the discount-sheet nor the newer adoptables are really sparking an interest and I can only come to one conclusion, which is my art needs work.
But, I do really wish I could get some feedback.
- Are the designs too bland or too weird?
- Should I do more anthros instead of ferals and original species?
- Should I stick to themes instead of just putting out what I feel like drawing today?
I really am trying to save up some money for during the summer, and I know there are a lot of adoptable-makers on this site, but I'd really love some feedback, to be honest. Because it seems the only times I truly get feedback is when I offer stuff for free. D:

I usually end up looking at dogs or cats only.
But also keep in mind that it's convention season and summer. Most people are probably spending that money on stuff at conventions (or just expenses) and day trips to the beach and ice cream. Unfortunately it's hard to compete with that. It also seems that the adoptables boom is a little on the deflate. The market was really flooded at one point and interest wasn't near enough to meet the quantity of adopts out there. So it may not really be your fault at all but just the ebb and flow of the market. It has it's tides.
But yes, stagnation is death. Might as well try a variety of new things. Maybe try more realistic creatures, or scary creatures, or themed creatures. If one doesn't work move on to the next. You'll hit on someone's interest and you'll always be growing and changing and trying new things. And maybe you don't want to keep it all, but you may want to incorporate bits and pieces you find enjoyable or efficient or easy and then go on again.
You really shouldn't feel awkward about it, it already means a lot to me when people simply say they like a design when they do, even if they can't or do not wish to buy it.
It's a bit like an affirmation, that the design is good, or at the very least interesting enough, I suppose. c:
And ah, convention-season, that might definitely explain much.
I hadn't even thought of it as a factor in it.
And thank you for the advice! I really should try doing scary adoptables as well, as I only seem to be capable of doing cute things.
Thank you very much for this well-thought out advice! Q u Q <3
