General update
It's been a while since the last update, things have been busy here, but fortunately things are finally going quite well :)
Mom's recovery very well from the bypass-surgery, almost amazingly so. Since then, she's already gotten her prosthetic leg and has been practicing with it. It is going quite well. There were some worries that mom might've caught a bug that was going around the hospital around the time she was there, but fortunately she didn't and is in quite good health. The current expectation is that she'll be released from the physical rehabilitation centre in about 2 months, so it seems as though all that's finally over :D
Our house is currently undergoing some alterations to make it easier on mom as well (think handholds and stuff). The garden wall has been partially sawn off to make the door larger and allow the electric cart mom will get to make the turn and exit the garden, and at the front of the house the sidewalk has been raised to compensate for the (rather high) doorstep the house has. Most of it has been done, so the chaos from that is almost done, too.
Where personal news is concerned, I'm in the middle of setting up a small translation agency for myself to see if I can get some income from there, but I have also been looking around for other options / extra jobs I could do to increase my income. I went to a security company for an aptitude test to see if I could do security work, and fortunately got a positive result so that's another thing I could do (along with another option of getting into transportation) :)
If all goes well, I should also be officially sworn in as a translator (finally) in exactly 2 weeks, and will spend those weeks setting up a website and get other stuff done to hopefully put me on the radar.
So yeah, busy busy, but thankfully things are quite well all things considered :)
