FurFright Artist Alley: How does it work?
I always thought it'd be fun to go to a furry convention at some point in my life. I've been to a comic book one and certainly my fair share of anime ones. Maybe what kept me from looking more at them was not being a furry myself, but then I remember you don't have to be an anime fan to go to an anime con or even gay to attend a pride event. What really matters is an appreciation for whatever the convention is about. With that in mind
xaviera brought up the idea of FurFright which has a lot of appeal seeing as it is not too large, Halloween themed, is a few months away, and (relatively) local. The problem is if I did go I'd still need to get a room at a hotel, and that in itself is a costly venture. Before even considering going I want to understand how the FurFright convention works but in particular the set up of their Artist Alley.
I did read through their website, but it was very late at night and my eyes and brain were doing anything but cooperate. From what I could gather the set up for artists there is different than any other con I've been to. Can anyone whose either sold or bought art from the Artist Alley at FurFright perhaps elaborate on the procedures more? It doesn't even look like you pay for table space which has me wonder if that means a portion of profits made go to the con as payment instead.
tl;dr: FurFright Artist Alley: How does it work?
