So this past weekend I had a 4-day (I got four days off) and decided to go spend it as best as I know how, by taking a 4 1/2 hrs drive to see my Crazy Ass friend Rakai
evilguyv20 and hang out. Whilst down there I met up with
firefly8083 who had her friend Nardi
Fluffy-Brat over. The day went well (despite the fact that in two days of getting paid I ran out of money again, paying for bills and what not) and FireFly bought me a giant bottle of Irish Cream Liquor (I can't remember the name and it was bigger then my head) and I promptly drank what I think is half of the bottle while on an empty stomach. So I'm pretty sure I made an ass of myself in front of one of my favorite artists, her husband, her friend, her friends boyfriend, and my friend....but all but two were drunk so I think it wasn't too bad. Other then that nothing much else happened, Rakai and I did go to this Asian restaurant and saw these two touch screen soda dispensers which blew our minds (I wish I had taken a picture because it was like we were looking into the future =O). so yes in short, I had fun, I have less then 2 dollars in my account, I am selling my car to get some money, and a cab driver has my Ipod because I don't have money in my account.....even though the car rental service said they paid me back the security deposit back after I returned the car back unharmed.
Yaaaaa for being broke..........it was still a pretty good weekend

Those touch screen soda dispensers are pretty neat, and a lot of the Wendy's by where I live have converted over to those machines as opposed to the traditional soda pop dispensers. It is cool to see how the new machines are all computerized.
I am sorry to hear about your financial situation, and I hope that things for you get better than they are now. Times are really tough, and there is no question everyone is hurting out there.
Those machines are the shit! I want one for my room so i can be all badass and stuff XD
Well I decided to sell my car and just wait untill deployment is over so I will have enough money to buy one and have cash left over....that's the sad part about being young...you're also dumb XD
I concur with you that those soda pop machines are really cool! I remember seeing one of those opened up to be serviced, and it is neat how there are a bunch of cartridges in there with the various flavours. Apparently, the machine has the ability to switch those cartridges around for whatever flavour a person wants. It is really cool how one flavour, such as Sprite, can be further subdivided into a bunch of other ones such as Peach Sprite, Cherry Sprite, etc.
Yeah, selling your car probably was hard but makes sense especially if you are not going to be using it for extended periods of time and if there is no one around to watch it and perform maintenance on it. What kind of car did you have?
Putting aside money is your best bet especially so that you will have a cushion when you leave the service. I would think that your expenses are minimal in terms of food and housing right now, and you are best putting the money you would have used for those living expenses in the bank and make some money that way.
Good luck with your deployment training, and I hope that you will be all right on your deployment whenever that will be.
I like the idea of a touch screen soda dispenser but the damn thing needs to be re calibrated because the ones in the restaurant we off by a bit
And thanks, maybe this time I can get a full deployment.
and it was called "Carolans Irish Creme" http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_h6nSfQpJP.....sh%2BCream.jpg
I was so nervous to meet you guys, I wanted to dart off x3 Nardi said NO..... I am glad she kept me going through with it <3 You two were amazing to hang out with, and both of you are more than welcome in my home anytime <3 *hugs*
And that stuff was good....how much was left after I got my greedy paws on it?
To be honest I was too....obviously Rakai was more then happy to jump right in and start....well....being him XD, But it was very nice to finally hang out with you and whenever I'm back in town we are going to do it again....because that was waaaaay to fun *hugs* and I'm glad Rakai didn't scare you guys away.....I swear he's a Lvl. 80 Charisma Wizard XD
yeah, but I think having Rakai helped to calm our nerves some ^^ he is AMAZING... kept me cracking up ^^ Tim is like that too... it took him no time to be himself, I wish I could be like that ^^
And that's Rakai for you, that man can talk and act to get pretty much what he wants lol (and thankfully all he wanted was a good time) him and Tim may be able to be themselves around strangers but for people like us....there's alcohol...the great social lubricant XD
