Computer is dead, long live computer

so the other day my computer stopped working and we determined it to be the ram. now it seems likely the motherboard itself is fucked. and therein lies my problem, I cannot afford to buy a new motherboard/Ram/CPU combo. so, I really don't know what to do about this. if any of you have any help or suggestions please let me know, otherwise I guess it's so long until I can afford a new computer.

buy a cheapie MoBo thats compatable with your exsisting cpu and ram? if its older, you can probably find one that'll get you by for cheap, till you can save up for a good upgradez.
