Alright as it seams that there will be yet again a good bunch of new faces this year i think it is important to warn you that.

FURRY CANADA DAY IS WEATHER DEPENDENT!!!

So what does that means?

This basiquely means that if its start to rain on the day of Canada Day more presisely near the time of the walk then that the event WILL BE CANCELED IF IT RAINS.

Now why is that? The answer is quite simple, alot of the people that will be there have Fursuits some on them costing several hundreds if not thoulsan of dollars or and have great value to there owners eyes. Some of them even have paint brush witch washed away do to rain and then ruin and DESTROYS the fursuit.

It is a risk and it would really be greteble that it rains but for the last 5 years we have been lucky and now uses real type weather maps from the weather channel website to call the go or no go of the event.

As of the long time prediction on the weather channell we have to this day A FULL GO for FCD whit a nice sunshine but this is a 11 day prediction that can change.

In the last days (2/3) before the event il post frequent weather updates and the final roll call should be done one or two hours BEFORE THE EVENT.

A WORD FOR THE FURSUITHERS!!!!!!!


If this is your first Canada Day and you have a fursuit you should read the folowing WARNINGS about Canada Day.

Canada day is the IRON MAN of fursuithing, harder then cons and harder then a full summer day for the following reasons.

-At cons people dontbreally rush for your fursuit as everyone has one at Canada Day you will have about 150 000 PEOPLES that will all rush to get pictures whit you witch will create a buble and people WONT LET YOU MOVE!! Witch will make you stay still and gain several degres of heat in a litle time.

-Make sure that you ither have a wather bag or botle or a friend that can give you water. ALOT of water!!! As you will need it.

-HEAT!!!! FCD happends during one of the most HOTEST days of summer. Wind can help but is never garanty. You must know your limits and must take the posibility that the event may become to warm for you on the day itself and be ready to take your head off for colling down.

-THERE WILL BE A BREACK during the event at half way where youl be able to take of your head in a HIDEN area from mthe public so in other words you will not kill the magic =p

-HELPERS: This year have been very busy for the organizer of the event so oficial helpers may not be in suficient numbers to help you out if needed. TAKE PRECAUTIONS and try to have a friend to watch for ya =)
