Ok folks, I am really amazed at the response, however, I want to clarify.... Tony, Shortwave, Aeon, and I do not physically have the pictures nor do we know who these people are..YET. The city does. Tony is working on viewing them for himself and then will have a go at speaking to these individuals privately. We will then decide what goes on after that.
As for letters to the squad and Chief they may be directed here...remember it was the Chief who allowed the furries to have the BBQ....he likes us and enjoys hanging with us...however he is taking more heat from the city than even Tony is.....so please send positive and professional letters only to:
Twin "W" Rescue Squad
ATTN: Chief Kevin Friis
P.O. Box 385
West Windsor, NJ 08550
Or via email at: chief[at]twinw.org
also have a chip in http://twinwrescue.chipin.com/twin-w-rescue-squad
Donations are tax deductible and can be made sent to the above address (Checks to be made out to Twin W Rescue Squad, Inc.) as well however we will not be able to keep a record of the donations made since they will directly to the Chief.

.....At this point. It's about rectifying the wrong as much as possible. It's not about hunting down the two who triggered it. As much as I'd liek to know, the bigger picture is to give back what was taken away from this group. Furthermore, as stated by michichael nicely, a letter to the council is a good idea to try to apologize and bring a different understanding to the situation.

I would draft a letter, if you can, as follows:
"Members of the Council,
In light of recent events regarding the lewd acts displayed at a public event, we would like to open a discussion with the Council and the City about the decisions made.
Firstly, we will stress that the "Furry Fandom" is a massive subculture of individuals, not a small club with control over its membership and its behavior. The actions taken by two individuals were lewd, obscene, disgusting, and unlawful. Any information to who these individuals are will be communicated to the Chief of Police for prosecution immediately. Their actions are not characteristic of the subculture - they are the actions of individuals. This brings me to my second point.
The BBQ was a public fundraising event - while every effort is maintained to uphold the rule of law and decency, like any public event there is only so much that can be done when individuals choose to flout them. I urge you to reconsider the decision to punish The Twin W Rescue Squad for the actions of individuals completely outside of their control. What occurred is akin to two individuals mounting a stage during a charity concert and performing lewd acts - it was neither condoned nor sanctioned - it was an individual act by two individuals that must be brought to justice.
Punishing the organizers of a public event for the actions of the public that were unsanctioned is the exact opposite of justice. Further, the history of service of the Twin W Rescue Squad demonstrates their effectiveness and commitment to the safety of the people of the City. Please reconsider the sweeping reaction to this act by two individuals, as the people that will be harmed most by this cut are the citizens of the City.
I thank you for your time and consideration."

....that's about the best we can do at the moment. Address the city council apologizing for the situations and try to curb the lost funding as much as we can...and try VERY HARD to UNDERSTAND WHAT NOT TO DO!!!! Learn to keep things private.

As a former member of a Rescue squad myself, I know how tough it is to get the money needed for newest equipment and such, I hope they can make up their losses.
