It was bound to happen sooner or later~but this caught me totally off guard. the Team that recruited me to mascot for them has folded. Green country roller girls after a six year run has closed its doors so to speak-(the team captian/owner has been recruited by Dallas),leaving your Coyote with out a mascoting gig...or so i thought. As big of a bummer as it was getting the news~word tends to travel fast in our underground sporting community...within the same week Switchblade Rosie-team captain for my former team "Tornado Alley", contacts me and asks if I would mascot for them at the up-comming bout against Breast Cancer~our biggest fund raiser of the year. Naturally I said yes.
the welcome I recieved was nothing short of incredible...I had no idea how much of an impact I made on the team and fans overall. Even the owner of the Farmers Market where we play commented on my return, saying "It was'nt the same without the Coyote here." And the young fans...the kids whos moms,aunties,even grandmothers...yes there are some~ are out there knocking each other around like a shoe in a dryer~flocked to me like I was a celebrity.
No hard feelings-no drama-only love and the feeling of seeing the people you found out LOVE YOU THE MOST.
So it has indeed come full circle, the move i thought would launch my mascoting career into the next level never happened...and i could give a flying fuck less ~because i found out exactly where I belong...and i'm never going to forget that lesson.
Go hard or go home...and home never felt so good.
