Trip to, heave and ho; Up, down, to and fro- You have no word
I'm sorry for the lack of anything the past weeek. My mum and I went on a huge camping trip for my birthday, which was on the 22nd. :)
Needless to say, it was beyond amazing. Camping right next to the ocean, A good five minute walk away from coastline a nd being surrounded by giant trees. We had a lot of adventures, but some of the highlights for any interested:
-I got to make vegetarian S'mores.. Haven't had smores in YEARS, since i was very little. YUM <3
-Not only were there several types of wild berries I ate, but I also cooked and prepared seaweed and wild horsetail plant. mmmm.
-My mom's firepit cooking skills.
(enough with the food highlights. xD )
-The beach. One of my favourite beaches in one of my favourite areas along the coast.
-Organic stuff is by DEFAULT in the smaller towns. You don't pay extra for it, in fact, you usually pay less.
-I rescued an big ocean bird from drowning, because it's leg was hurt and it wouldn't walk on it.
- I got to see an osprey hunt at the beach. And then get chased away by a seagull ;)
-I carved a little tiki spirit cat out of a piece of driftwood using my carving knife and a few small twigs for drilling.
-I found a complete intact bird skull. It's pretty big, like a little longer than my palm. Perfectly clean, lying in the sand. I like clean bones. That's about as much as i'll ever collect from the dead, and it 'aint being sold for profit. This baby is gonna be displayed with honour. Maybe you guys can help me identify it?
-Saw commorants, a skunk, banana slugs, deer, osprey, ravens, pelicans, gulls, rabbits, sea lions, and..
-On the drive home.. I saw.. A BALD EAGLE. it flew right overhead dude. You guys dont understand. I've never ever never EVERRRR seen one flying before. Like.. flying free. I only get to see 'em at zoos and stuff. It was breathtaking.
Anyway, i'm back, so expect pictures and art shortly. :)

Bald eagles bro! So lucky! I've only seen them here I think three times when I was younger.
Hehe, From what I can remember marshmallows tasting like; it's exactly the same... only sweeter for some reason? I dunno. but it was yummy dude. SOGOOD. ;;
Organic stuff is hella expensive here too! :C I can only buy it if it's a really good sale price otherwise I just can't afford. Usually i'll get lucky and a store will have a sale on something I could use or something that'll last me a while. I'm only able to splurge if I get birthday money or something like that, which i was lucky and got a little of. xD
Tell you what, if our paths ever cross i'm either gonna take you camping or make you a yummy organic smorefest. c:
Aw dude I know. I wasnt even looking, i was admiring all the turkey vultures everywhere and then BAM. like.. right by the water and then flew right over the car. I was like ":OOOOOO MOM DID YOU SEE THAT. OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG WHOAHHHHHHHh." haha x3
Yeah, whenever there is a sale. I just on it like mad, on fruits and weird stuff. Seen those honey straws? I just chew on those, there's a lot of different flavors! Yum!
Noooo dude! We are going to a con! Yeah, I'd die of shyness. xD Unless someone recognizes me, but I doubt that. Smoresfest. I can picture it, overly full from smores! Lucky bro, got to go camping, eat smores, see a eagle! Luuuucky!
HONEY STRAWS. My mum bought a few camping actually! We put it in our tea at night. but I ended up eating half of 'em plain xD
I'd totally go to a con, but only if I was gonna meet up with someone there, or if someone came with me. Once I meet people i'm not so shy, if they are friendly, but I have a problem with being in huge places with lots of people; all of which who I probably don't know. It's like knowing where you are, but being totally lost, you know?
I'm lucky but it's bittersweet.. I think the state park system is gonna shut mine down this year, along with a buttload of others. ;;
Now I want honey straws. ; n;
I never been to one, usually when I'm alone with new people. I stay quiet till I find something to talk about. I still want to go to a con! Most are all far away. Maybe Furry Fiesta, or Califurs. ONE DAY, I will go to one! SOMEDAY~
Oh that's a shame, they must not be making enough. That sucks, hope they reopen.

Well, vegetarian smores are just smores that use vege/marshmallows. A little known fact: Marshmallows aren't vegetarian normally. Neither are gummy bears, jell-o, or even some iced cream now. ;; The industries add gelatin as a thickener and to give things it's squishy/soft texture, and also because it's cheaper to buy than vegetarian sources, like pectin (fruit based, used in vegetarian candy, jam and jellies) or agar-agar (seaweed based, used in vegetarian candy and as glaze or to thicken) but yeah. Gelatin... I won't go near it. It's secret meat. x_x
Haha yeahhh! It amazed me too.The osprey was flying in midair, looking for fish, and then it'd swoop, and then it'd fly up again, and after about 5 minutes this gull comes out of nowhere and starts chasing it away! Then again, have you ever seen those little tiny birds chasing away hawks and vultures? Gutsy little things!!

Ohhhh! I didn't even think about what it took to make marshmallows!! Good thing I'm not vegetarian or I would've been really sad right there. But then again I would be checking the ingredients to everything lol. That's pretty nifty! One thing my vegan friend didn't know was that french fries at mcdonald's are cooked in sauce that has like beef flavoring or something, so it makes it un-vegetarian/un-vegan. I had to tell her because if I didn't, it would just be mean.
Haha seagulls just think they're all that! The ones here are so lazy they won't even get out of my car's way when I'm driving on the road, even after honking and getting as close as possible. I had to swerve for one once and I wasn't going very fast at all... lol
And yeahmannnnn. The eagle knocked my freaking socks off. Well.. They would've, if I was wearing socks. :<
I just kind of figured, that they still weren't around much, especially where I was at.. All i'd been seeing all day were seagulls and turkey vultures. And it was close enough that i KNEW it was a bald eagle. I couldn't even get a picture, I was just too busy staring. <3
