Trust is definitely a big thing, I totally agree with that. I'd be happy to try it with you sometime should we ever meet up =) MFF is...an unknown at this moment. C and D are both wanting me back up to visit asap, but this year is when I start graduate school as well as teaching English 101. I'm not sure exactly what sort of workload to expect, but from everywhere I've heard an M.A. is a whole different level of dedicated study. Plus I may be grading my own students papers around the time of the convention.

At this point, though, it's neither a yes or a no. If it starts looking like I'd be able to, I'll try and let you know.

How does one get hypnotized? I've always seriously thought it was total bullshit which means I can probably never be hypnotized as an uuuuunbeliever! *shuuuuunned*

The method behind hypnosis is actually quite simple. The hypnotist, through paced and repeated speech, guides the subject into a deep sense of relaxation while emphasizing continued focus on the hypnotist's voice. That's all there is to it.

That being said, disbelief in hypnosis is a very strong influence that prevents one from entering a hypnotic trance. Then again even just trying it out, in my opinion, would seem to indicate at least a curiosity or even possibly a deep seated belief that it could work.

It was a very interesting experience. One I think both of us enjoyed =)

*laughs* I wouldn't call myself a practitioner by any means, he was the first person that I've actually attempted using a script on. Nevertheless it was a really fun experience, albeit incredibly intense.

*chuckles* bet you're interested in trying it again sometime, tho? :) Once you get a feeling for it you won't need scripts to the same extent. Its good you're taking it seriously too, its a lot of responsibility!

*nods* I do want to try it again. Definitely. I'll probably stick with the scripts although this time around I actually altered some of them on the fly. Adding in some more repetition and changing the wording in some instances.
