What Other Cons Should I Try?

Anthrocon is amazing, but I can't wait a whole year between seeing everyone. I'd love to check out something a little smaller, where I'm not so badly torn between so many things at once. Which cons do you like to attend? Where and when are they?

If you can come to Connecticut, you definitely need to try out Furfright. The atmosphere is very relaxed and slow-paced, so while there are events, dealers, and so on, it's also very nice and you'll have plenty of time to socialize.
MFF is in Chicago, the weekend before American Thanksgiving, so the 3rd Thursday - Sunday of November. Furfright is a Halloween-themed convention and is always during October (though it has sometimes taken place on Halloween itself and thus carried slightly into November).
Furfright is small, and I know our crew goes, and I think your other crew does too.
I've heard good things about MFF and FWA, but I heard Rainfurrest wasn't all that great.
Further Confusion in San Jose in January is likewise awesome. It's the second biggest furcon and is an awesome party con. It is also surrounded by a bajillion great restaurants <3
The best cons I've ever attended were Eurofurence 14 and 16, but since I'm here in California, it's quite a hike to make that. :)
Other than that, for the low down on a WHOLE bunch convents all over the globe, (and not just furry inclined) should totally chunk along to CannedGeek.com for write-ups/rundowns/dates etc~! :'D *friend of mine runs it, and it's HELLA useful for planning~!
