So Nabisco/Oreo released an Oreo design in support of gay pride. This is something I don't see often, a large company standing up for ideals that go against what society considers the norm and to mention an issue that has been a hot and controversial political topic for sometime. It's really impressed me.

But of course with do something like this they've opened themselves up to ridicule. Already less-open minded people have called for a boycott of not just Oreos but all Nabisco products.

One person had to say, "Not buying Oreos anymore, gotta stand up for what I believe in."

This is also a person that become irate when people openly criticize her for her views. The hypocrisy of it all is enough to make me sick.

Standing up for what you believe in, that's what Nabisco/Oreo is doing. They opened up the floodgates and they knew what they what would happen...and yet, they did it anyway. Whether or not you support gay rights, its still very respectable thing to do. I may not agree with the people that say they hate gays, I may think that they need someone to open their eyes and show them the flawed thought process they have, but I still respect people that stand by their ideals.

Everyone just needs to calm down and eat a cookie.
