I'm still here... sort of. Been going through some tough times lately.
Went to FCN with NeurosisKitten, and ran into a couple of his friends (SushiKitten and Slade). Also saw a couple of other Artists I've seen here. Didn't talk much though (since I was trying to get some comissions... no luck).
I'm thinking about going on a 'vision quest' as it were. Came to a realisation about my art... that I'm not going to get good if I'm sitting on my ass. The problem is... I just sieze in the middle of working on anything. Probably cause I know what I'm doing isn't going to work out, both coloring and anatomy wise.
I don't know whether to try the sketch a day thing other artists have done, ask for some help when sketching and coloring (since OC tends not to host correctly on my end), or look for some open model sessions from the college. All I know is once I can figure out one, The other may come easier.
I'm probably not going to post colored stuff much til I can get my anatomy and line art better (I recall one artist a while ago telling me my line art was the reason I wasn't getting anywhere). Still... My stuff looks so... childish compared to others.
The thought still lingers. Keep going, or just stop like so many other hobbies I've attempted...

Personally I like both your colouring and line work quite a bit. I could see you going quite far with a bit of work. What you do is up to you, but I'll be enjoying whatever you post if you keep it up from here. :3
You are right, not going to get better if I don't see what I've done wrong in the end.
*snugs* Thanks. I needed the words.

Excellent! What would you want to have done differently?
Use Chris Sawyer's furry anatomy references to see where muscles are:

I have it easy - I do photomorph art and I'm fairly well defined, and my mate is spectacularly well defined.
Take a photo of yourself in the pose that you will be doing to use as a proportions and shadows reference. Your reference photograph isn't a live model but you are a lot more cooperative and far less expensive than any other live model, as well as being much more convenient schedulewise.
Do everything digital so that you can change anything at all.
LOL. I'm... not comfortable with taking pics of myself... ^^;.
With a digital camera, you can take reference photos of yourself in various poses and no one else will ever see them. It is completely private, thanks to the camera's self timer.
That other person made the remark a long time ago... basically bragging he got onto TJA, and I was trying to get on at the time. I still remember who it is... and even his MSN handle. I can handle critique, but in his case, it wasn't a critique, more of an "I'm better than you cause I have a better known web site" statement.
