So going through and randomly stumbling upon a journal link on a friends page I discovered a D.J., who shall remain nameless because I don't wanna to flame directly, was talking shit and pumping themselves up to no end. Although this is really just an amusing note that I decided to write down I could not but help thinking wow....you sucked so bad yet you are building yourself up to being king shit on turd island and on top of it all bashing everyone else that played alongside you? Looking at myself and my thoughts on being boastful about one's skills reminds me of an old Chinese saying, only half full buckets make noise. I personally think that striving to improve upon yourself and constantly taking advice and critique from others when they offer it will always make you better in whatever it is you are trying to do, above all else be humble about it! There will always be someone out there that is better than you and there is no perfection in anything, that is why making art, no matter what medium, is always evolving and improving. I just find it sad that everyone can't take this stance, just imagine what could be accomplished.
