My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Season 1 DVD

Finally after what seemed like would never happen, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic DVD's got released in New Zealand, so I quietly took my time to check it out.
(more like rushed, but you can't prove that) :P
Unfortuantely only two discs out of five are available at the time, making ten episodes of season 1 in total.
Though the collectors box does come with a Flutterdash "action figure" to make up for the delays, Would have preferred a Luna or NightmareMoon one personally but can't be picky. (I also see what they did with their "creative" naming)
On that note NightmareMoon's screentime was lame, only one episode's length in total? Really wish she was around for much longer. ;_;
A plus has been I was worrying Pinkie-Pie would be your "stereotype girly-girly" but she is suprisingly enjoyable and very likeable, hillarious even. ^-^
...Also the look on my father's face was... umm... priceless to say the least. XD

As for the volumes both 1 and 2 were released here at the same time, still was hoping all 5 would be available at the same time but I guess that would mean no action figure. X3
Annoyingly they are not numbering the volumes, so I must rush to get them one by one, hopefully then being in the right broadcast order. ^^;

I need to get myself Volume 2 now and then place a pre-order on Volume 3
Very suprised it's not yet available in the states like you say. It really should've already been at it's origin by now. o_o
Still, it's only a small 10 episodes at the moment anyway I suppose. ^^;
I'm guessing they are maybe waiting for season 3 to finish (if it hasn't already) then will probably be a delux collection edition of some sort. :P
But if not I suppose that means buying a region 4 player and ordering overseas, but on the plus side at least your country has broadband so you can get to view all three seasons for free. ^^;
Just wish they'd hurry up with the other three volume releases, so desperate for more. XD
If it is available in your area you should get it when you can asap, if your distributor has a collection box with volume one you may get a free "action figure" inside hopefully. ^_-
Agreed it's very sad and personally I think quite a huge missed money opportunity by hasbro, but at least there's fan-made support to make up for the void, such as Celestia with a correct paint job. (really hasbro, a pink coat?) o_o

We were up Hasbro's nose about that during pony fair 2011. They told us pink always sells better with their core audience, five year old girls.
Did watch a lil bit of it though, so there's maybe hope for him yet. ^_^
