Apparently http://www.furaffinity.net/user/whitewolfsev/ is cracking down on anyone who tags themselves or friends in pictures that aren't of their characters, because he thinks it's art theft, which it's not unless someone is claiming ownership of the picture. So hide yo kids, hide yo art.

Claiming ownership of the characters can be just as bad :/

It's not claiming owner ship, it's just tagging you're friends on facebook. That's it. It's just dumb fun. It's something we've all done. And when I pointed that out to him he nuked my comments. So if he won't appeal to logic, I'll warn everyone else.

While i'm okay with tagging, it's the people claiming to be those characters that pisses me off. I've had it done to my art and it's fine when they say things like 'OMG this is totally how i'd react!' but tagging it and being like "this is totally me guys, i'm _____ and this is how I react to _____" really rubs me the wrong way.

No one's claiming character's. When I tag it's something I would do or would be in/ would like to be in, but I never lay character claims, usually just leaving an amusing anecdote for the description. Seriously. Everyone does it. To me this seems ridiculous and pointless.
