Unless you've been living under a rock, you would have heard about the whole Olympic scandle involving China, tibet and these so called 'freedom fighters'.
I Frankly am sick of the media portraying china as the bad guy here, It appears a civil dispute in a chinese province is more considerable than something like the 60years ongoing war between Israel and the middleEast. But then we can't blame the jews for that now can we.
As you would have heard, theres is this massive global ruckus firing up because a few opportunistic troublemakers in the Tibetan province of china decided to forment anti-government hatred. And as you would expect in any country, the government would move in and try to break up the demonstration, but since the Olympics were comming up they decided to resist and make a scene out of it.
Now ever half-educated disestablishmentarian and so called 'humanitarian' is up in arms about how repressive the chinese government is despite flying in the face of Obvious hypocracy. I mean, if you think china is repressive, why don't YOU stage an anti-government riot in your country and see just how kind your government will be twards you.
There are obvious reasons as to why tibet is a province of china
: the Tibet region has always belonged to china, ever since the 'middle kingdom' was founded way back before jesus.
: It's a vital strategic position that I'm pretty sure the many opponents of china would want to occupy and put on the same drama that is happening in eastern europe right now.
: A large portion of Tibet's population is indifferent to the ruling government, as long as their quality of life kept relatively good, Liberation will result in the region turning into another ethopia.
: The chinese people are made up of well over 50 different minor ethnic groups, there isn't a genocide or an apathied in tibet, it's assimilation.
: Had this civil disturbance come up any other time in history the result would still be the same, Except the western media is vying for view attention by blowing the whole issue way out of proportion.. Like they always do.
"Oh won't someone liberate tibet" Bullshit! You won't hear the media appealling to all those palestinians or Irish Nationalists. It's all some stupid media hype that a handful of resentful western sensationalists want the world to swallow.
Remember the crap that you saw on TV when the US was about to go to invade Iraq? next thing we know some smartass is gonna accuse china of harbouring terrorist and so on.
Now Unless you're an anarchist who promotes the disolution of All government and liberation to everyone, you're a hypocrit. Cause even IF china does (in my opinion) the stupidest thing ever and frees tibet, People will Still complain but to a china who's greatly weakened.
Don't like chinese human rights... Fair enough, but thinking that making Tibet indipendent reminds every intelligent chinese person of late nation of yugoslavia.
As a chinese I feel it would be best that my home country be kept intact especially with the world these days becoming increasingly unsafe. (Thankyou Bush!) So it would be a happy sunny day in hell before china even THINKS about granting any of it's provinces indipendence.

Frankly, I don't think Buhdism is outlawed in china. It's when Seporatists try to use Buhdism as an excuse that repression occurs.
Plus, if china shows tollerance to organised religion, Islam might take root, the north western part of china is already majority islamic. meaning they'd want indipendence too.
Keeping 1.3billion people reasonably happy with each other isn't easy.
Central asia has a largly untapped oil reserve that's right on the doorstep of china and russia.
Heh, Bush do not know what he is doing, so we just have to wait a little bit, hope this time americans would chose better leader (though Obama is not the best choice, RON PAUL is the best) but America will be an America, so lets hope everything is going to be fine...
