Update 7/2/2012:
Changed maps dramatically
Added in some armor grabs
Added a little bit of intro story
Fixed a lot of text display errors with window messages
Displayed more messages on how to play
Introduced a constant 1hp/2s regen
Altered volume of many background music tracks
Introduced low volume new sound effects for some parts of the game
Tweaked mana cost of current spells
Removed bombs
Fixed many known and unknown bugs
You no longer start with leather armor
Known bugs:
Enemies still attack after dead 1 time
Sometimes enemies attack the diagonals

How do you equip spells and items?

To the hotkey bar? In the menu hover over the skill/spell or item and press 1-8 depending on which number you'd like to hotkey it to.

I'm able to equip the heal spell, but the bombs and fireball I can't.

Bombs? This version shouldn't have bombs. Do you have an older version or did you use this one?

It could possibly be my computer or something. From the first time I played, pretty freaking fun! Reminds me of when I got my first gameboy color and played Zelda. Now that's when video games were the shit.
