Commission Terms and Conditions

The process: Send me a note with a short description of what you're looking for and I'll add you to the commission list (or the waiting list, if the commission slots are full). After that, I'll contact you and we can discuss in more detail what you want as far as the colors and design are concerned. A picture might be helpful at this point.
I'm limited to the fabrics that I can find. I have a few good fabric stores locally and know some good websites online, but if I can't find a fabric that mimics the way you want to have your wings fade from purple on the edges to yellow in the center, with sparkles on it everywhere, I'm probably not going to be able to make wings that look like that.
I can use fabric paint to add small features or use multiple fabrics (example) to create some more complex designs, and if there is something I can do that comes close to what you want, I'll suggest it and we can keep refining the design if you want.
Before I make any fabric purchases, I will send you a picture of the fabric I plan on using (or a link to an online fabric) for your approval. If you find the fabric you want to use online and send me the link, I'll take $5 off the commission price as a thank you for saving time. If you have the fabric you want and are willing to mail it to me, I'll lower the price further.
Once we've agreed on what I'll be making, I'll give you the price. Prices are laid out below, but if there is something complicated about your request, I may have to add extra cost. For pieces costing $50 or more, I require half the money up front.
Once your commission is done, I will take a picture and send it to you as proof the work is actually done. When you get the picture of the finished product, I might be able to make a small modification but by and large, there won't be any further changes.
At that point, I will wait for payment. Once I receive your payment, I will ship the finished commission to you. US shipping is included in the price, international shipping will cost extra, depending on the country.
Time Span: When I get a note from you, you'll hear back from me in 0-48 hours, and we can start the commission discussion. Once I receive your deposit (or confirmation of commission, for orders under $50), I will have the project completed in 1-2 weeks if I can get the fabric locally, or 2-4 weeks if I have to order the fabric online. If an unforeseen circumstance will push my schedule back, I will inform you.
Refunds and Cancellations: If, for some reason, you decide to cancel your commission and I have not yet made any purchases, I will refund your deposit. If I have already started working on your commission, I will not refund your deposit. If I am unable to complete your commission for any reason (fire, broken hand, coma, etc.) I will refund your deposit regardless of whether or not I have started working on it.
Waiting List: If my current commission slots are all full, send me a note asking to be added to the waiting list and I will add you. The waiting list is not a guarantee that you will get a commission, but rather an indication that you will be the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. person to get a commission slot when they open up again.
Timely Payment: If I have completed your commission, and sent you a picture of the finished work, and I don't hear from you or receive payment within a month, I reserve the right to sell your finished work online or at a con. If you have run into financial difficulties and can't make the payment right away, contact me and we can work something out, and the 1 month rule will not apply.
Right to Refuse: I reserve the right to refuse any commission request for any reason.
