I think one of the coolest things about the furry fandom is that, arguably moreso than most fandoms, WE are the content creators. Unlike, say, Anime or Sci-Fi where predominantly it's a worship of popular-culture items which are commercially produced and distributed, by and large Furry is a fandom of self-generated material, be it illustrations, animations, 3D renderings, stories, costumes or whatever.

I also think that ones' creations are an opportunity to leave a mark on the world - To make or do, rather than simply consume. To express ourselves and our thoughts. In the words of Dr. Steel, "Explode with inspiration! Vomit imagination!"
